Roof Renovation and Construction
Roof Renovation with the Fadoktor Approach
The roof structure is one of the most heavily stressed timber structures of any building.
In the case of roof renovation, our work begins with identifying wood protection and structural defects, and during execution we eliminate not only the symptoms but also their root causes.
In Fadoktor’s roof renovation and construction projects, wood protection considerations are given equal importance alongside structural and construction aspects—because a roof is expected to perform not just for a few years, but for decades.
Roof Renovation with the Fadoktor Approach
For us, roof renovation is never a standardized process—every building and roof structure is unique.
What we assess in every project:
Condition and load-bearing capacity of existing timber
Wood protection risks (fungi, insects, moisture)
Structural safety of joints and connections
Long-term maintainability
As a result:
- Only elements that are truly necessary are dismantled
- Components that are still structurally sound are preserved
- Necessary elements are reinforced or replaced
New Roof Construction – Designed with Wood Protection in Mind
When constructing a new roof, we already consider in the design phase:
Proper selection of timber materials
Moisture performance and vapor behavior
Joint and connection detailing
Long-term effectiveness of protective treatments
As a result, the completed roof structure is:
- More resistant to environmental impacts
- Less prone to hidden damage
- More durable and safer over the long term
The Importance of Wood Protection in Roof Renovation
A significant portion of roof structure damage could be prevented with a proper wood protection approach.
During construction, we:
- Apply targeted wood protection treatments
- Professionally treat or replace infected elements
- Implement solutions that minimize the risk of future damage
This is especially important for residential buildings, public buildings, and historic structures.
